We are packed and ready! The weather is rainy and on the cool side. We are just hoping it improves for our trip. We head out of Amherst, Ohio with Jack Freas and our rental trailer that is carrying our bikes and will carry all of our camping gear. The Regans, Greg Staley and Liz Doering are all heading to Lockport from Connecticut, while we head out from Ohio. We plan to ride roughly 200 miles., from Lockport, NY to Syracuse, NY. The Erie Canal Bike Trail actually goes for 350 miles from Buffalo to Albany.

At about 5 pm The Regans, Greg and Liz arrive at the Best Western in Lockport- We begin our trip with a team dinner at the Kalamata Family Restaurant in Lockport.
As is usually the case with a Greek restaurant the food is excellent and a reasonable price too! WE hit the hay early- we are hoping to be at the "ready line" at 8:30 am! I am driving the van tomorrow- ( mostly because I am so nervous about it I know I need to get it over with!
